The mountains surrounding Valledoria can reach 300-700 m. The variety of secure paths and appropriately equipped forest roads guarantees nice walks and trekking all year round.

One can climb in the direction of Mount Ossoni (between Castelsardo and Valledoria at a height of 300 m) whilst breathing perfumes of juniper pines and view a fantastic panorama over the gulf of Asinara.

A similar climb can be found at San Gavino (height: 700 m - 10 Km from Valledoria) or Mount Ruiu (height: 700 m - 7 Km from Valledoria).

The Limbara (50 Km away) is Sardinia’s highest peak of (1362 m) and is at Tempio Pausania. It offers numerous paths and forest roads. When visibility conditions are good you may get a clear view of Corsica.
