Situated in the north part of Sardinia. It looks onto the Tyrrhenian Sea enclosing the Emerald Coast and the National Park of La Maddalena.
The territory of the city of Arzachena with its many bays, inlets and beaches includes the areas of Abbiadori, Baja Sardinia, Cannigione, Poltu Qualtu and the famous complex of the Emerald Coast built by the Islamic Prince Karim Aga Khan who was the first to discover the enormous potential of this place.
The ethnographical and mineralogical museum of Arzachena is in the city centre.
There are also numerous monuments from the pre-Nuragic period: the tombs of the Giants of Coddu Vecchju and of Li Lolghi, the nuraghes of Albiccu and La Prisgiona.
A few Km away are the beaches: Cala Petra Ruja and Cala Razza di Giunco.
